    Description

    Hikkaduwa is a seaside resort town in southwestern Sri Lanka. It’s known for its strong surf and beaches, lined with restaurants and bars and have a vibrant nightlife.

    Hikkaduwa is popular for its notably large sized turtles.

    Hikkaduwa attracts lot of tourists from around the world with its beautiful golden sand beach, surf points, lagoons and more.

    Apart from the beaches, the other prominent attraction is Hikkaduwa National Park, which is a coral sanctuary and home to marine turtles and exotic fish.

    It is a popular snorkeling and surfing destination.

     

    Best time to visit:
    In Hikkaduwa, the dry season is from November to May and during this time the waves are best for surfing.
    From May to October, it is monsoon season and many restaurants and shops are closed.
