    Description

    Dwarka is a holy town, which is a part of the "Char Dham" Yatra. It is also one of the Sapta Puri (the seven most ancient religious cities in the country).

     

    Dwarka is situated on the right bank of the Gomti River.

     

    The name Dwarka means the "gateway to heaven". It was the kingdom of Lord Krishna.

     

    It is believed that Dwarka was submerged under water after the demise of Lord Krishna
