        Lalbagh Gardens spreads over 240 acres of landscaped terrain and was laid out in 1760 by Hyder Ali, and finished by his son Tipu Sultan. It has trees centuries old, and claims to have the world's most diverse species of plants. There are several lotus pools, lawns and flowerbeds accommodating over 1,000 species of flora.             Vidhana Soudha

            Vidhan Soudha which is one of the most important structures in Bangalore. The 46-metre tall imposing building comprises 300 rooms, each of which reflects the impressive Dravidian style of architecture.                                           Big Banyan Tree / Dodda Alada Mara

                                          Dodda Alada Mara literally translated to Big Banyan Tree is a single massive Banyan tree that is 400 years old and has spread over 3 acres of land. In last 10-15 years the main root of the tree succumbed to natural disease, and thus the tree now looks like many different trees. This tree is situated at a distance of 25 kms from Bangalore City; and is a very famous day trip destination among the locals who are looking for something out of ordinary.
