What you can expect
Pick and drop at hotel. After pickup in Kuala Lumpur, start your day trip with the approximately 2-hour drive to Malacca City, where you’ll start your exploration with a visit to St Peter’s Church, the oldest Catholic church in Malaysia. Learn about the Dutch presence in Malacca as you check out other historical pieces of architecture, and head to Jonkers Street, known for its antiques. Have time to shop or take in the sights before continuing to Cheng Hoon Teng, a Chinese temple that combines three doctrines: Taoism, Buddhism and Confucianism. Enjoy a signature Malacca dish for lunch at Baba Nyonya restaurant (at your own expense), and then visit the Stadthuys, once the home of the Dutch governor and now a historical museum. Walk up St Paul’s Hill, where a chapel was built by the Portuguese, and visit Kampong Morten, a traditional Malay village in the city. Finally, hop aboard a riverboat for a relaxing cruise along the Malacca River (at your own expense), where you can take in scenery along the water. Some hotels if do not have restaurants or charge hefty amount; in those cases we will not be able to arrange breakfast however we will compensate by INR 100 per head per day for breakfast in Asia and INR 250 for Americas, Europe, AU, NZ and Singapore or we will ask our guide to take you for breakfast. There is no breakfast if booked under economy category. Breakfast is only available in standard and above category of booking.
